Sizing priority

The recent past has seen me at business school filling my head and time with Strategic Management, Financial Analysis, Capital Management, Corporate Systems, Marketing Models and Appreciative Inquiry, amongst others.

But really, the issue foremost in my mind, which none of the above helps to settle, is this:

should my gaming hexes be 500m or 1km?

The difference is significant, you will appreciate, as it impacts on the game/force/time/space/lethality/density/geospatial ratio thingies.
